Sawah Cyber Security has successfully organized the first Cyber Secure Indonesia meetup on January 30, 2025 in Denpasar, Bali.
This initiative aims to bring cybersecurity enthusiasts together, increase Cyber Security Awareness, gives the community the space to share knowledge/experiences and take lessons learned from it.
Key sessions presented:
- Hacker Mindset 101: Understanding how hacker think and operate. With real life examples and a deep dive into the PDNS2 ransomware attack in June 2024 presented by Jeffrey Jansen.
- AI & Cybersecurity: How AI is shaping the future of cyber security with a live demo of the impact of using Deepfake AI presented by Ryan Endika Chandra.
The first meetup was a great success, with participants from various companies and positions attending to expand their cybersecurity knowledge. The feedback exceeded expectations indicating interest and active engagement. The event sparked insightful discussions, including how to persuade business owners in Indonesia to allocate budget and prioritize cybersecurity? Additionally, we debated how cybersecurity will evolve in 2025 especially under the current leadership of President Prabowo.
