We are excited to announce the official launch of PT Sawah Cyber Security on December 1, 2024, the first cybersecurity firm based in Bali. Co-founded by Jeffrey Jansen (Netherlands) and Ryan Endika Chandra (Indonesia), both with over 15 years of experience within the cybersecurity industry.
The mix of cultures and perspectives gives us a unique position to blend the standards and approaches of European and Asian markets. This allows us to provide high-quality cybersecurity services by combing the best of both worlds.
Our mission
Our mission is to protect critical systems and data, helping organizations build resilience and against evolving digital threats with the expertise of our cybersecurity team.
With experience from the Netherlands and Japan, we understand that Indonesia has its own unique challenges and ways of approaching cybersecurity. But we believe the time is right to make a difference, especially with the recent major cybersecurity incidents affecting the Indonesian government and the change in leadership with the new Indonesian president.
But we can’t do it alone, and so we will continue to build partnerships and collaborations in Indonesia and the Netherlands to accomplish our mission. Working together with like minded people and organizations to create a safer and more resilient digital landscape.
As the first cybersecurity firm based in Bali, we know there is much work to be done and we are excited to lead the way.
Why Bali
Bali, known for its natural beauty and rich culture, also symbolizes growth and resilience. Inspired by the rice fields (“Sawah”), we chose this vibrant island to plant the seeds of innovation and cybersecurity.
Bali offers a vibrant ecosystem, with a growing pool of young talented IT professionals and a mix of innovators/entrepreneurs from around the world. This mix of cultures and ideas makes it the perfect place to establish a cybersecurity hub in Bali and foster collaboration with forward-thinking people and organizations. With its potential, Bali in Indonesia is the right place to position Sawah Cyber Security and help organizations in Indonesia, the Netherlands and beyond.
The modern challenge
Organizations today face what we call “the modern challenge”, as they navigate through the continuously changing digital landscape. While Indonesia and the Netherlands have their own challenges, both countries have some security threats in common.
At Sawah Cyber Security, we understand the complexities organizations face in staying secure. In the coming blog posts we will share our visions and insights on the “modern challenges” of cybersecurity and how we help organizations navigate this shifting terrain.
